The Battle Continues

By dougbradshaw51

img_0529.jpgWell, after talking and procrastinating, I think I’ve decided to stay on the ww program.  There’s no easy solution, but being diligent about consumption and really watching the points and cutting out the no no’s is the final answer.  There may be quick loss plans that really work short term, but long term, you have to do what I’ve stated.  I really enjoy it when I’ve had a successful day.  Feels good.  Far better than feeling bloated and full.  I’m up three pounds from my recent low, but I hope to see that come back off in the next few days and then head down more.  Teaching old dougs new tricks isn’t that easy.

Doug, you character! Not my favorite photo . . but glad to see you have a plate of broccoli in front of you.
I’m happy you’ve made the decision to loose weight the old fashioned way instead of trying yet another fast loss program (HGC). As Julie commented, she gained 60 lbs while pregnant so the premise may be slightly clouded don’t you think? You’re on the right track in your thinking/knowledge that you must change your eating habits as a way of life . . not a temporary “diet” and then fall back to old ways.
We want you to be around for a long time to come, being healthy, feeling wonderful, enjoying life . . . you are in the prime of life you know!!

    Love, Mom

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a magic plan where we could just eat? Even when I feel like I am being pretty good I gain weight. I can only imagine how much I would weight if I just ate whatever I wanted, lots of candied nuts, bread with butter and jam, milkshakes, …. just can’t do it. Maybe one tiny portion of one each day, all the rest has to be carrots and celery or else your automatically pudgy.
