Well, after talking and procrastinating, I think I’ve decided to stay on the ww program. There’s no easy solution, but being diligent about consumption and really watching the points and cutting out the no no’s is the final answer. There may be quick loss plans that really work short term, but long term, you have to do what I’ve stated. I really enjoy it when I’ve had a successful day. Feels good. Far better than feeling bloated and full. I’m up three pounds from my recent low, but I hope to see that come back off in the next few days and then head down more. Teaching old dougs new tricks isn’t that easy.

The Battle Continues
November 30, 2007HCG Program
November 12, 2007I’ve been maintaining but not losing for a few weeks. I have three friends doing the HCG program and I’m going to give it a try after Thanksgiving. The HCG hormone is extracted from the urine of pregnant women and it triggers the body to release fat and live off of fat when you go into starvation mode. You get the injections and stay on a strict 500 calorie per day plan and lose a pound a day for 38 days and then you go to a less restrictive diet and lose the balance of the weight you need to lose. According to my buddy Rich Bennion, who lost 35 pounds on Weight Watchers and then gained it all back over about a 1 year period, this hormone is a miracle hormone because you don’t feel hungry or amped up, just normal and the weight comes off fast. The program is administered by a Dr. Moody of Sandy. If any of you want more information, give me a call. I’m going to try to get my doctor, Dr. Muse, to administer it for me. If any of you want to join me, let me know. You can google hcg and get more information.
